Improvement works in different railway tunnels

Project

Design and rehabilitation works concerning 4 single-tube with double-tracks; execution of the works maintaining railway traffic on a track.

  • Paradiso tunnel (L = 768 m)
  • S. Martino tunnel (L =   53 m)
  • Maroggia tunnel (L = 570 m)
  • Molino tunnel (L =   10 m)
  • Installation of the temporary ballast;
  • Removal of the railway superstructure;
  • Installation of the new railway structure with the new sleepers and rails;
  • Concrete slab lowering; construction of the new concrete foundation;
  • Underpinning/Wall replacement/Tunnel enlargement (Maroggia tunnel);
  • Demolition works in San Martino tunnel; realization of the new supporting wall, with an anchored bulkhead;
  • Horizontal and vertical rail tracks moving;
  • Installation of new drainage pipes and inspection wells; 
  • Replacement of the cable conduit;
  • Refurbishment of the evacuation/drainage systems and of existing infrastructure;
  • Adaptation works for the infrastructural railway system.
